The 1550 Utility Audio Amplifier uses the Signetics TDA2611A audio amplifier IC which is used in all the current Ten-Tec transceivers. Two inputs are provided, one directly to the IC, and the other through the NPN transistor preamplifier. In this application it is run at 1.5W.
